/9 Round 1 of the post-election war was about setting the psychological frame. It has ended with a resounding victory for Trump:
/9 The entire GOP is backing his strategy with few exceptions and including all the major players. This is a HUGE victory, because challenging an election result is unprecedented. Already the standard rulebook has been shattered.
/9 The mainstream media has been totally discredited on fraud issues by its extremely obvious partisan posturing in favor of Joe Biden, instead of doing proper investigative journalism into the fraud claims.
/9 under this scenario, there would have been a bipartisan legal and journalistic investigation of fraud which would have found it didn’t affect the results. Unless there WAS large-scale fraud. It's unlikely and hard to believe, but possible.
/9 Democrats' perceived flip-flopping on fraud - there was none! there was but not enough to affect outcome! - and not addressing it has made them look guilty. Especially Biden's disdainful dismissal, which will look REALLY bad if fraud claims are proven, or made to seem proven.
/9 The by-now-classic "Trump says outrageous X" headline media domination has been established. Biden is almost invisible. A left win here would have focused on voter fraud as a bipartisan issue and Biden's policies, cabinet picks, etc. https://video.foxnews.com/v/6208959143001#sp=show-clips
/9 Biden's victory speech suddenly claiming to welcome everyone after 4 years of virulent hatred from the left, and without a word acknowledging the other side's priorities and desired policies, looks like cynical politics and gloating.
/9 Round 2 will be about sufficiently discrediting the results, particularly in the swing states. That will be partially through legal challenges, partially through creating ambiguity and chaos, and partially through politics at the state level.
Disclaimer: I am not a Trump supporter. Nor a Biden supporter. There is too much subtlety and nuance going on, and too much dependency on unknown factors, to know how either presidency would in practice pan out.
