Good thread. The only thing I'd add is that this isn't coming from some rando on social media, CNN/etc, some dopey losing candidate, or even a sitting congressman. If you don't understand the difference bt these categories, then you're not trying.

So much of the last 4 years has been people with a longstanding & healthy skepticism of government power suddenly defending the words/deeds of *the most powerful government official in the world* by citing to similar statements from impotent losers.

Frustrating to say the least
