Franck Kessie ~ The Rock of Milan

[A THREAD]
Franck Kessie is 23 years old, standing at 6 feet tall, and has entered his 4th season with AC Milan. To compare his role to a spurs player, he’s similar to Moussa Sissoko.

Difference is that Kessie can play with the ball at his feet, whilst maintaining his insane cardio.
Kessie has been linked with big moves away in nearly every window, with teams like Liverpool, Arsenal, Inter, and Chelsea getting interested, and for good reason.

Kessie is a dominant player of the ball, and in the 20/21 season so far, he’s had a dribbling success rate of 100%.
Kessie is outperforming his historical dribbling rates, where he completed 71% of his dribbles in 19/20, but that is still superior to Sissoko’s 61% in the 19/20 season.

Nonetheless, for a player of Kessie’s strength, he is a great dribbler of the ball.
The major difference between Sissoko and Kessie is their efforts in the final third

In 19/20, Sissoko had a Shot-Creating Action (SCA) of 1.03 per 90, whereas Kessie had a SCA of 2.23.

In the 20/21 season, Kessie has already equaled Sissoko’s G/A tally of the 19/20 campaign (3)
Kessie is also capable of turning the game on its head. Just look at the goal he scored against Parma last season. He has scored 30 career goals, only 10 less than Sissoko in 302 less appearances. So he is not just superior defensively, but offensively.
In terms of pass completion, Kessie was once again superior, with a rate of 89% compared to Sissoko’s 86%.

Sissoko’s greatest asset is his engine, where he completed 437 pressures in the 19/20 season. Kessie’s numbers were greater, completing 589.

A testament to his fitness.
Sissoko is currently 31 years old, meaning his career at the top level is soon to come to an end.

Kessie would be my choice to replace him, as he would provide the defensive stability and fitness that Sissoko brings to the table, along with competent play in the final third.
AC Milan find themselves top of the Serie A, and Kessie can be greatly attributed to their recent successes.

Another great note is that a Kessie has only missed 1 game in his career due to injury, where he was out for 4 days.

Let me know what you guys think:’)
