appease his enemies, but to fight them in court, and in the press, to defend himself , and us, loudly and clearly
He didn't
He allowed himself and the membership to be trashed and abused daily, hourly, on social media and in the MSM

an all round popular view with many who see Corbyn as some kind of child, who needs our protection still, and I'm sorry for that
But there are things far more important to be challenging/defending than the career of one politician who refused to defend himself when it mattered
