Argentina had perhaps the world's most draconian response to Covid-19.

Brazil was widely criticized for a more laissez-faire attitude.

Note the wide gap between their Oxford Stringency Index Curves.

What do you think happened?

As of today, they have the exact same cumulative Covid-19 mortality per capita. Although Argentina's is still trending up whereas Brazil has stabilized.

Lockdowns are theatre. Psychologically, culturally, spiritually destructive theatre.
