I'm going to re-state it NOT because I can say it better than @RexChapman but because seeing it a second time may drive it home for some who didn't understand it the first time around.
Someone who says "let's get back to normal" *knew* that what's been happening the last 4 yrs WASN'T NORMAL.
Let that sink in. They knew it was abnormal. But they did it anyway. Or they let it happen. Why? Because it was good for them. At the very least it didn't HARM them.

They felt OK with it happening. EMBOLDENED to allow, support, & even participate.
But now that "their people" aren't in power, they don't feel shame, regret, or remorse. They don't want to repent.

They just want to go back to the way it was BEFORE.
Because, while "before" might not be as good or exciting as what they want, it doesn't HARM them either. "Normal" is still safe for them.
It ignores the hard truth that "less dangerous" is still "not safe" for so many folks.

If you think it's fine to get back to a normal that is systemically unjust, then fuck you & fuck your normal & fuck your feelings about it.

I'm not fighting for the old normal. I'm fighting to fix the whole broken system & fix it so it stays fixed.
Just to be clear: I don't intend to fix people. All the racist complicit asshats who supported the orange crap golem don't deserve my time.
