Today, on this Veteran's Day, I wake to think about those that served with me, before me and that will choose to serve in the armed forces in the future. 1/4
I have learned from brilliant leaders, historians, and tacticians, watched service peers be revered, vilified, or outright disregarded, and lost some friends and dear mentors from enemy fire, friendly fire, and by their own hand. 2/4
Those called to serve domestic or abroad may not always understand why they do, may not always do as they believe is best, and will never return from any service the same, but all that serve should be recognized. 3/4
Remember our past Veterans, know those Veterans still around you, and Honor those currently called to serve for those that can't or won't.
