Vicky was a sex worker & activist in an atmosphere of high levels of violence against #LGBT ppl, incl. from gov't agents. The investigation into her killing was faulty and incomplete.

In '09, shortly b4 Vicky's killing, @hrw published a report on 🇭🇳. We interviewed 35 ppl who were victims of or witnesses to harassment/beatings/ill-treatment of trans ppl by the👮.

Authorities failed to investigate complaints from trans ppl and orgs.

For these reasons, Vicky's case is more that just about her; it's abt justice for all #LGBT victims of violence/discrimination in 🇭🇳 and in the region.

Today, the @IACourtHR has a chance to enhance the obligation of states to protect the right to life of LGBT ppl.
