As a graduate of neurobiology at Jagiellonian University how did you get into filmmaking?

I wish I could say that it was all part of a bigger plan but just like many people, I did not know for a long time what to do with myself.

I was afraid to stray off the path that seemed obvious to me...I've always been interested in many things at once but it wasn't until I started filming with my friends that I felt the joy & satisfaction that creative work gives me.

It was then that I discovered a passion for film and animation that has remained with me until today.

Your project is about body positivity and is based on the use of 3D scanning techniques. What made you decide on this form while implementing this idea?

Karol Wójcicki: I chose this form for many reasons.

I am fascinated by how faithfully and in detail the human body can be transferred into 3D space, which opens up completely new possibilities for us in showing it.

I found that reducing the various elements of the body to a visual abstraction would help to look at them from a new perspective and perhaps facilitate their acceptance, and perhaps even arouse newfound sympathy.

I am also trying to contribute my small brick both to the exploration of new technologies and to the creation of a more realistic body image in the media, because it is a very important topic for me.
