THREAD : The Domino effect, Hinduism and its interactions with non-primary religions, it's decline and how to stop it.

A long thread, please read till the end.

Gandhi is both the cause and product, a rather big domino in an otherwise long chain of dominoes.

Imagine all Hindus throughout history, all of them who have died, all who are alive & all who are yet to be born, all who could have been Hindus had their ancestors not converted & all those who won`t stay Hindu because they or their ancestors will convert. All as dominoes.

Conversion of a Hindu or birth of a non-Hindu in a family who had converted from Hinduism is like the falling of a domino.

Now first I'll discuss reasons which are misattributed to the decline of Hinduism :

1. Western Education : Both Gandhi and Jinnah had western education, one formed an Islamic state, other a true secular state.

4. Indian state : Who made the state ?

The problem is somewhere else. The problem is within how the Hindu society sees itself. The problem is at the very root itself and no body wants to acknowledge that.

Do Hindus see themselves as a distinct group that needs every member of that group to help every other member of that group over someone out of that group ? The answer is no.

Coming back to the dominoes, when the first non-primary religion came in contact with the Hindu society, it started converting out Hindus. The dominoes started falling. The rate of falling of dominos varied over time.

Sometimes a Hindu king got mad and stopped this conversions for his time but after that stint, nothing else. Please remember that we are still in the pre-Abrahmic world. We have only encountered non-Abrahmic secondary religions till now. And yet the dominoes keep falling.

No efforts are done to stop these dominoes from falling ever again and to make the fallen dominoes stand up again. Now comes the Abrahmic religions especially Islam.

These religions make thousands of dominoes fall in one go, the assault continues on for close to 800 years and yet Hindu society makes no efforts to stop the dominoes from falling.

Then come Christians and they do the same thing in different ways but the reaction of Hindu society remains the same except some efforts here and there. Even the efforts were more or less temporary. Absolutely nothing done to stop the fall of dominoes.

Comes the modern age and brings with it a plethora of neo-Hindu cults, all of them non-primary & actively looking for converts from mainstream Hinduism. You have the Brahmo Samaj, the Arya Samaj, the cults of Phule, Ambedkar. You have Babas like Rampal,Ram Rahim, Brahmakumaris.

But the Hindu reaction to all of them is unchanged : stale and ignorant. Nothing that can happen against Hinduism will change the reaction of Hindus. Let the Dominoes keep falling, why should the rest of us care until someone comes to my door asking me to convert out.

Why did we survive then ? Because there were just way too many dominoes to fall, give them ample time and all of them will fall. It is like the second law of thermodynamics, the entropy can either stay constant or increase.

The dominoes might stop falling for a while but sooner or later they will start falling again. There is no mechanism in the Hindu society that can bring those dominoes back and stop the standing ones from ever falling again.

The solution : Create a distinction,a distinction that is imposed top down with proper punishment for crossing it. A distinction so strong that no Hindu dares to cross it,a distinction that includes everyone that should be included and excludes everyone which should be excluded.

Yes this might sound Abrahmic and in fact it is but there is no way you can stop the dominoes from falling. This process requires two types of people, intellectuals and rules.

Choose what suits you best, get to power via any means, get to politics, bureaucracy, media, military or just be rich enough to influence others. When the time comes, do what you can to influence the distinction which I call the Manuic distinction.

Remember the cancer in our body slowly eating us apart can only be surgically removed. If we can`t do this then consider yourself failed. No Hindutva, no BJP, no conservatives, no traditionalists can stop this inevitable doom if they don`t fix what is at the root.

Post Script points :

1. We can't use any Pagan civilization as ideal because they didn't survive. Hinduism is the most powerful primary religion,infact more powerful than some secondary religions too. We have to learn from Abrahmic religions or other secondary religions only.

2. The traditionalist Hindu parties like that of Karpatri ji also didn't answer the crucial problem. I don't mean to demean him here but his or other conservatives response to secondary religions wouldn't have been much better.
