Do you want fair pay for your labor? Do you want a promise of food to eat? Do you want guaranteed shelter? Do you want to be cared for while your sick without repercussion? Do you want your needs met?
Do you want these needs met for your loved ones as well?
Cause I do. I want to not have to worry about the basic necessities of life and I think none of us wants to be afraid of losing everything when things get bad.
We have been conditioned to believe that the only way to do this is by busting our assess alone. That we must build our own mountain and leave others in the valley below.
I get it. Theres a sense of achievement when the struggle has been so hard for so long.
There's a feeling of anger when someone thinks they don't have to suffer like you did. I get it. I do.
It doesn't have to be that way though. It would be better and more efficient if we pooled our resources to collectively insure these necessities.
Through this collective we could guarantee your care and safety during the bad years and ensure that your loved ones are never left out in the cold. And with your needs cared for you could truly work for what you desired instead. A freedom to pursue your happiness.
We could achieve this. It would take time and a lot of work and metric ton of change to our current way of life but in the end we could gaurantee a fulfilling future for you and your loved ones.
It sounds like a utopian fantasy to some. I get that, but its what I vote for and protest for and work towards every day. I don't want the people I love to suffer anymore. I don't want you to suffer anymore. We could achieve this. We just have to work for it.
The people trying to tell us these ideals are wrong are either woefully ignorant or purposefully trying to keep a status quo that leaves so many hard working people down in the valley looking up and wishing for the mountain top.
Your neighbor is not your enemy. No matter what they look like, or language they speak, or faith they practice. They did not create nor do they maintain the system that has kept you struggling for necessities. But we have been told for generations the 'other' causes our pain.
We have been taught to fight amongst ourselves, compete and compare, be individualistic and self focused, and live in anger and fear of each other. Generations of manipulation by a system that doesnt want us to realize that if we worked together none of us would have to suffer.
If we want to progress as a people when need to get over superficial differences. Realize that our enemies are those who want us to hate and fear and be divided, and come together as a collective to change the system so that our needs are cared for so we can be truly free.
TL;DR If you want to guarantee a happy life you need to eat the rich, fight the Nazis, and join your fellow citizens in transforming an individualistic system of manipulation into a communal system of equal care and dignity.
