I was able to afford my dream apartment because of the tv ad type content.
But that’s my speciality so I can’t imagine what it’s like for the women who do amazing photo content to now have to produce videos and still get invoiced the same.
When you shoot tv ad type content you’re essentially playing like 6 roles from copywriter to DOP to editor to director to talent so you need to invoice like that. I don’t collaborate if people don’t meet me at my rate. It’s not fair for all the work we do.
Please get trustworthy agents guys. They are so important 🙏🏾 You need a person who knows the industry to do the negotiations for you. To play hardball and to know your worth. Yes that 15% commission sounds rough but rather 15% off R50 000 than 0% off R5 000
