"lazy art values"

I don't think this was a representational statue. It is a piece of sculptural art. There is a difference.
I mean, it's not a firmly boundaried distinction, but it is a distinction. It's not great to see feminists deride an artist's work by arguing that representation trumps 'lazy art values'
Really troubled by the confidence with which nakedness/nudity is cordoned off as disrespectful and sexist. I mean obviously it very often is! But by definition? Can a woman artist not work with nakedness, whether representational or not?

it seems so confused, all this. I think had Fawcett's clearly representational statue been naked, that would obviously have been bizarre. But this is just a different kind of work, and the two have been conflated
