(2) This war ended in a peace agreement between #Eritrea and #Ethiopia whose terms included EECC mutual claims and compensation (ignored), EEBC demarcation (ignored), and OAU investigation into the origins of the conflict (ignored).

(3) Obviously, this needs..... rectification with...another agreement! Everything of the past is passé, a previous chapter, outdated. We are in a new chapter and mentioning the old chapter is an obstacle to the new chapter. So. Stay. On. This. Chapter.
(4) There is a catch: in this new chapter, remember each chapter is a story and every story needs a villain. It’s not poverty, or backwardness, or famine, or Biblical swarms of locusts or even a pandemic. It’s Weyane, and our game, before it’s over, requires their humiliation.
(5) Not defeat. But humiliation. In such a way that nothing, not a challenger rises again from such an unstrategic land. So we will play these games to bring them to a boil: rename their museums and celebrate them as your own: invite all their enemies and excommunicate them.
(6) But first, because your new peace partner is so addicted to miscalculation, give your enemies time: to consolidate, to win back their constituency, to train, to arm. By words and actions work really hard to antagonize them. Get them to a point where they welcome war.
(7) Work towards a unitary, centralized State. There are always enough people who equate hegemony with unity and strength. What is good for China is good for #Ethiopia. That’s what has made #Eritrea the envy of #Africa. Because surely that’s the lesson 98 can teach 20.
(8) There is more. In ‘98, the neophyte Govts of #Eritrea & #Ethiopia had only been in power for 7 years. These 7 years were the briefest of respites: they followed a 30-year war. As long as the intra-European war, involving just as many countries, with untallied casualties.
(9) Why was the 30-year fought? Per the New Chapter, we have been told by the Signatories of the #Eritrea- #Ethiopia Peace & Friendship Agreement, it was for no reason at all. None. After all, the two are two countries and one people. Shit happens.
(10)Thats why we are not going to hold anybody accountable for the 30 years War. Per the New Chapter of 1991 before it was null and voided by the New New Chapter of 2008.Neither the New nor the New New signatories were elected by the people and had no mandate. Meh, minor detail.
