Musah has broken into Valencia's 1st team as a right midfielder within their fluid 4-4-2 system. Has intelligence and physical tools beyond his years, seamlessly adapting to the high level of La Liga at 17.

Musah is dynamic and direct in transition moments. Shows outstanding technique w/ his 1st touch and great ability to carry the ball into space w/ ease. The weight of his touches while moving at speed is perfect, ensuring he doesn't have to break stride as he prepares to finish.

This clip appears routine but displays Musah's intelligence to create space. Marcelo had been playing him extremely tight. The slight movement threatening to run in behind forces Marcelo to drop, immediately creating enough separation to receive the ball to feet w/ time to turn.

Has an abundance of technical quality, awareness and great ball retention, is comfortable under pressure as a result. Shows his ability to manipulate the ball w/ various surfaces of his foot to create space. The final ball is still a work in progress, slightly rushed at times.

Berhalter has interest in using Musah more centrally. In Valencia's pragmatic system opportunities to play between lines are limited, but Musah has the attributes to operate in central areas. Excellent open body shape to receive the ball, commit a defender + progress possession.

Played centrally throughout his youth career, displaying great ability to serve as a driving force from midfield. His quality carrying the ball + ability to change direction and get vertical quickly make his potential as an 8/10 very intriguing. Similarities to Mo Kudus (Ajax).

His attacking versatility is impressive, can be effective playing from the left flank as well. Has an innate ability to turn and face quickly. His directness, nimble feet, and balance allow him to change direction effortlessly, making it very difficult to stay in front of him.

This clip highlights his positional fluidity + 1v1 potential but his reaction to losing possession is what stands out. The desire to recover and get back behind the ball showcases an impressive mentality and strong focus. At 17 shows great comfort and maturity at this level.

Overall, Musah displays good tactical understanding, defensively engaged + positionally aware within the mid/low defensive block deployed by Valencia. Possesses game changing ability but often feels rushed in the final 3rd, things will slow down for him as he gains experience.
