Before we even THINK about getting a bill passed, we have to get a Senate majority. That starts with Georgia.
Unfortunately that will not be a 2/3 majority, it will be just enough to pass the other progressive policies we so desperately and tackle other voting rights issues.

After Georgia, we have to look ahead to the 2022 midterms. How many House seats can we pick up? How many Senate seats can we flip?
This is going to take organizing. Two years of voter outreach, of finding grassroots organizations in your home state and supporting them.

I know that many of you live in states you consider too red to change. If GA and AZ cannot show that it’s possible, I don’t know what can.

The benefit to this is that in changing the makeup of Congress we are setting ourselves up to get other important legislation passed - a green new deal, a raise in the minimum wage, healthcare, and so much more.

And yes, we will also have to have sustained lobbying on behalf of an amendment. We will need to get lawmakers on our side.
After the Amendment passes, it must be ratified by 2/3 of our states as well.

It is time to come to terms with a long fight.
