I literally witnessed all the madness unfold in front of my eyes starting circa 2016, first it was "no way a BL can be this popular and have fanarts, she is paying them to make fanworks of her novel" (how tf on earth could it be that would cost a tonne of money)
That was when no other chinese BL novels couldn't reach that level of populatity.
Then someone made up a bunch of bogus plagiarism "comparison sheets" that got debunked.
Then it was "she's a cult leader her teen fans are in a cult they made me commit suicide"
Honestly her mdzs was just one of the novels i read. Im not a huge fan or anything
Then all the slandering and online witch hunting aimed at her made me feel like im the only sane person watching a bunch of maniacs and now I don't mind supporting her a bit to combat the craziness
