like dip on the side is nice i guess cause guy can control the amount of sour cream and guac you take with each bite

but i don’t think i need that level of control with my nachos
you also run the risk of losing toppings with every dip, and if multiple people are dipping into the sides it can get messy
dip in the middle however means it’s difficult to get a bite without covering your fingers crossed with guac and sour cream

also it’d probably lead to soggier nachos over time
it’s be cool if there was a ‘inverse nachos’ where you pick up the dry chip it and dip it in a deep dish of toppings which include the guac and sour cream
