There was all this discussion of whether Pompeo was “joking,” half joking, why would he then go on to talk about how a transition to a new admin would work

And Trump just retweeted the NowThis video/tweet of it giving his blessing to “outright denying the election results”
Making it a whole new story, of course - but same as the old story, Trump’s autocratic attempts at stealing power, and also now leaving no more room for Pompeo to try to keep waffling around on what he meant

Anyway, in response to a later question, Pompeo repeated the misleading “count every legal vote” refrain though, of course, that is exactly what already happened (and Biden is ahead by 5 million and growing)
