I think that right now, our job is to help people be brave. https://twitter.com/rabbimarkasherg/status/1326235706927276032
We’re living through devastating times.

Many of us have lost people who we loved.

All of us have lost things that we can’t get back.

We have also acted out of love and made a difference. We need to keep on doing that.
I think that optimism is only credible when it’s gritty.

When you give up false hope, you can have the real kind.

Yes, it really is that bad. And yes, it’s still worth trying to make it better.

Sometimes we succeed. Often, even.
We have to be willing to acknowledge that the current President of the United States is attempting a coup.

We also need to do something that might be even harder: We have to remember that democracy is real and worth saving.

And we have to find the will to keep trying.
I can’t tell anyone what will or will not be ok.

What I can say is that if you live your life as though your actions can make a difference, some of them will.

This is no time to give up.
