Here are SOME signs to look out for when you might be dealing with a narcissist (a thread).
1. Impressive sense of self-importance. - An important person does not need to talk about how important they are. They do this to entice and hook you in. Targets those with codependency characteristics.
2. preoccupation with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance and entitlement. - they will make sure to make you feel like they have power over you.
3. belief they’re special and unique and can only be understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people or institutions. They’ll then treat you special and shower you with love- Sets the mood for an exclusive, cult-mindset perfect for controlling
4. interpersonally exploitative behavior -Uses people for their own gain.They may use shock, awe and guilt to maintain control
5. Gaslighting -they will manipulate to destabilize their victims. They will deny they said something or did something that you know they said or did.
