So let's think just a little bit about Esper's release.

1) He had made it clear he would not support Trump if troops were needed to maintain order among the vicious frothing fascist so-called antifa types in DC.

2) Trump was planning to fire him before the election.
3) He held off because it would have been "too political."

4) But he fires him today. Esper was gonna be gone in 6 weeks anyway. Why get rid of him now?
5) Unless . . .

unless there might be a need for troops to maintain order when the excrement hits the rotating device.

Esper could not be counted on.

This would occur, obviously, before the inauguration.
In other words, it "seems" like the only reason to give him the boot now is that you need someone in that spot who is loyal.
