Will Hall had Tulane's offense looking like a work of art vs. East Carolina on Saturday.

It's awesome to see how much Hall has adjusted from a since Pratt has taken over. An offense that used to come out run heavy, came out with 11 passes on their first 15 plays vs. ECU.
It probably should've resulted in 2 easy TD's, but the ref knocked down a wide open slant on the second drive.

On 31 pass attempts Tulane had:
-> 0.52 EPA
-> 8.6 aDot
-> 61.3% suc rate
-> 10.35 YPA
The crazy thing is 6 of the 10 inc, the rec was open.

Just haw it was drawn up.
Some incredible Red Zone pass designs.

12 personnel, get the defense thinking run. Jackson motions in tight and then runs a cross right in between both tight end routes. Essentially creating 2 legal picks to get Jackson's man lost in coverage.

Also a great blitz pick up.
This time in 11P, Duece Watts runs a crossing route again after going in jet return motion. Again Tulane uses the tight end to set a screen and it's an easy TD despite the pressure.
Becoming such a good passing offense, has only helped this rushing attack, which didn't even need help to begin with. What's so impressive is how their run scheme changes game to game.

Against UCF, Tulane ran GT Counter over 50% of the time they ran the ball with great success.
Vs. ECU? Not a single GT Counter.

Instead, 13 of their 22 runs involved a kick out block of the last guy on the LOS. Tulane ran Pin and pull sweeps, dart, and Split Zone (a bit different as there's not a puller) ~75% of the time.

Out of 20P
Tulane running a pin and pull sweep (at least what I think it is). Playside guard pulls to get the OLB on the end of the LOS. Really can't block much better than this.
Here they run Dart (I think) with the backside tackle pulling. Again blocked perfectly and Jones gets another huge gain in the run game.
On 22 rush attempts (first 3Q's) Tulane averaged 0.18 EP/Rush with a 50% success rate.

36% of their attempts went for 10 yards or more. So while they're running the ball a bit less, they're still hitting explosive plays at a high rate, while limiting the -EP atts.
Mike Houston said this was the best anyone has prepared for their defense and he is probably right.

Tulane did whatever they wanted offensively and did it out of so many different personnel groupings and formations.

And probably left a lot out there.
