Our entire legal system is built on advocacy by a representative who knows the law--the lawyer. If you start encouraging harassment of lawyers for picking the "wrong client," you will burn the whole thing down.
No one says you have to like the lawyer, admire him, hire him, or have him over to dinner. No one says you have to like his client, either. But, you can't encourage harassment of lawyers for doing their jobs.
Every litigant deserves representation, no matter how despicable that litigant is. Driving lawyers off taking controversial clients will result in a lot of people going unrepresented. This is not the American adversarial system.
That is not how justice works here. The lawyer does not become the client. The lawyer represents the clients interests. That's it.
