Just finished a meeting with a 30-year old executive who is paying $135k (about N60m) for the INSEAD Global MBA.

What's your take on this expenditure?
I am slightly miffed that everyone just assumed it's a male executive first of all.

She is an intelligent lady who has grown to head a subsidiary of a major business at 30.

OK. Let me explain why it makes sense for her.

👇
1. It's an investment.

INSEAD, LBS, Oxford, Bocconi, IE, HEC, IMD, IESE etc are the top European MBAs.

The median post-MBA salary at INSEAD is $105,900.

If she saves half her salary, she can pay off the fees in 3 years and continue to enjoy $105,900+ for the rest of her life.
2. She becomes a global worker.

She can literally walk into any country in the world and stand a good chance of getting a great job within 3 months.

A top-tier global MBA does that for you.
3. It's a networking mecca.

She suddenly has "friends" everywhere.

There is someone traveling to Japan or Peru or France every week in my MBA group and they almost always have someone from the Oxford Business Association to show them around.

It's an invaluable network.
One caveat:

The world is changing post-COVID.

Will this still be as valuable afterwards?

I think so but your guess is just as good as mine.
