Video from a real DEI training at work where it is implied that people answer 4 to "2+2" because we've been conditioned to do so.
The point raised next is about cultural stereotypes, which is actually a lot more tricky than these midwit diversity activists want us to believe. Stereotype accuracy is one of the most strongly demonstrated results in social psychology. Stereotypes are accurate, BUT...
Stereotype accuracy is applicable to broad statements about groups that usually do not apply to any particular individual. This is because they are a statistical phenomenon, and people aren't groups (hello, Wokies, get this straight). They're individuals.
People exhibit a wide range of traits, and culture can color those traits without necessarily shaping them very much in any given individual (seriously, it's worth learning how stereotype accuracy works, which shows a lot about how group-justice is a fraud).
The point of bringing up 2+2, though? Undermine our belief in objectivity, just like was argued all summer, quite explicitly. Here, it's recalled on a worksheet that deliberately attempts an emotional manipulation that only works because stereotype accuracy is as explained above.
For more context, here's the first part of the training video against objectivity.
The argument over 2+2 all summer wasn't an idle Twitter spat as many of our betters assumed. It is, in fact, a tool being used to push the limits of denying our reliance upon objective truth and objective standards. Orwell was right about the freedom to say so.
As for stereotypes, the Woke are disingenuous about them in a pernicious way. They want to play upon the liberal individualist impulse while also judging people as groups, especially the groups they don't favor, which they do by projecting stereotypes onto them.
The liberal understands that stereotypes can be statistically accurate while individuals can vary from any given stereotype quite considerably and thus should be judged as an individual, not a member of a group. They get the order right: person then identity. Woke is backwards.
Wokeness is explicitly "identity-first" in orientation, which means their ordering is identity then person. The creator of intersectionality explicitly says to put the person ahead of her identity is to value universal humanity over identity group, which is then deemed BAD.
This reliance and projection of stereotypes is Ibram Kendi's whole shtick, apart from false dichotomies. He says there are these racist stereotypes of black people that almost nobody actually believes and then projects them onto roughly all white people, then demands change.
