On a “COVID Rising Community Webinar,” Sam Jarvis of Johnson Co. Public Health says there’s “uncontrolled transmission” across Iowa right now.

“It’s pretty alarming,” Jarvis said, calling for people to wear masks not just in public, but even if they have guests in their home.
Cedar Rapids Schools Superintendent Noreen Bush says the district has 22 bus drivers out and had 54 staff members request FFCRA leave just yesterday.

“We’re barely holding on by a thread,” Bush said, noting CRCSD applied for remote learning for Thursday thru Thanksgiving.
