Radio, television, and now social media have won. Articles, videos, and tweets wield far more influence over discourse than books do.

Discourse is a form of intellectual production that fits the contours of industrial society very well. It can be marketed and scaled, after all.

There remains a role to be played for popular intellectual books.
You can’t fit a worldview into a tweet or an article. But you can fit it into a book.
And then, those books influence tweets, articles, thoughts, habits, and, eventually, society itself.

I hope to provide such a book. In addition to the thorough treatment of the nature of institutions, power, strategy, societies, knowledge, and technology that I call great founder theory, I will take on a topic I have only briefly addressed so far: civilization.

In an era of widespread decline and stagnation, it is perhaps more important than ever that we think about our society at the highest level possible.
We need to understand civilizational development, decline, and renewal. Can I help provide a roadmap for the latter?

This will be the ultimate goal of my book project, a goal which I believe is worthy of a book-length treatment. And for which, I think there is a great, if unobvious, demand.
