1/7 🇭🇺 parliament adopted another authorisation law due to the worsening pandemic situation, allowing government to temporarily suspend or differ from existing laws for 90 days. All fine until here.
2/7 Mere hours later @JuditVarga_EU proposes an amendment to the Constitution (!), which a) defines public funds as revenue, expenditure and claims of the state and b) says that the parliament must create a law by 2/3 majority (so this can only be amended by 2/3 majority) that...
3/7 regulates the establishment, operation and termination of trust foundations that are carrying out public functions, as well as regulating the performance of their public functions.
4/7 The important thing here is that 💵 the gov gives to these foundations ceases to be public 💵. Once they are with the foundations they become private money.

distributed in 9 counties + Budapest (out of 19 + Budapest). The new proposal would increase this number to 50/106. This is important because major opposition parties agreed to run 1 common candidate against the government in all 106 constituencies in 2022...
but there is not yet an agreement on how many lists they will stand due to ideological differences. This decision will now be made harder.

The icing on the cake? You cannot protest this, because of the lockdown measures: gatherings are banned, curfew between 8 PM and 5 AM, events are banned. Only yesterday, 101 people died because of COVID-19. #BraveNewWorld
