Putting aside all of the "Be nice to Trump supporters!" trolling, it seems objectively true based on the current map and electoral college that you can't achieve any progressive goals (Green New Deal, M4A, Defunding police) without some current GOP voters changing their minds.

"The left can just beat them with turnout!" THAT IS LITERALLY SAYING THE SAME THING! You want some current GOP voters motivated to vote out of fear of encroaching communism or whatever to fear it less in the future (ie change their minds) thus allowing progressive turnout to win

Either way, if you believe 100% of Trump voters are either motivated by racism or indifferent to injustice, you're saying either 1) you need to convince some of those racists to vote for progressive goals anyway or 2) you need some of those racists to stop being racists.

"But the only reason we're talking about this at all is because the map and system as a whole is so skewed toward the right!" So? The only way to fix that is with voting at the state level and, again, the only way to win is by convincing some current GOP voters to switch.

So "Fuck these people! We have to beat them, not make peace!" feels good to say, I have no idea what that means on a practical level if it doesn't involve changing minds, breaking the grip of rampant misinformation. What's the alternative? A war that you'll definitely lose?
