With people messaging me about ADHD seemingly everyday, I feel it's justification enough for posts like this.

I really don't know what I can offer up in terms of dealing with the non-facts. I can tell you what's helped for me, what to avoid to make sure your medication works
I can explain to you how different types of medications are metabolized differently and why that is good or bad.

But I can't help you with hating your life or yourself. I can't help you with the frustrations that come with.
It's hard to explain to people that you really wanted to do this one thing, but your actions did the opposite. It's not something people can accept. But it's something that we've dealt with our entire lives while thinking we were just lazy or selfish.
A number of good lectures and papers exist, but none really feel like they're directed at the people with ADHD. They're directed at the annoyed teachers or parents of those with it. So it can be tricky to find something that resonates with you.
