before i came out as trans, i identified as a bisexual boy with a preference for boys. when i was growing up, i did notice a lack of good mlm rep in the cartoons and shows i was watching, and it sucked.
mlm content in kids entertainment was usually limited to gay dads (still is), which is still good representation, but it's not what most mlm people are really looking for. i wanted gay characters that were like me, but they simply did not exist.
when i was young, i had this exact same mentality. it was frustrating to see little to no mlm content when there seemed to be plenty of wlw characters. as ive grown up and matured, ive seen the problem with thinking that way.
the lack of mlm content in cartoons is not at the fault of wlw creators wanting to tell their own stories.
i know this is going to sound cliche, but we're not going to get anywhere with infighting. progress can be made if people come together. getting angry at wlw people because of a lack of mlm content isn't going to get us anywhere.
maybe im biassed cause im wlw now though
