Italian Americans for far too long have been discriminated against, made into stereotypes by racist white politicians, and used for profit by Hollywood and game development companies like Nintendo. This racism needs to STOP.
the most notable acts of racism against Italian-Americans (IA’s) started during World War II when they were put in internment camps in America, Canada, and Australia, but for whatever reason this isn’t even taught in public schools.
After this, Italians were made into jokes, stereotypes, and used for economic profit by large businesses. IA music is played in every Olive Garden like the restaurant is Italian. OLIVE GARDEN IS NOT ITALIAN. IT IS A CORPORATE LIE!!!
Hollywood has ABUSED IA’s/Italians for profit and have even casted actors who are not Italian in Italian roles. This is ITALIAN FACE! Now because of this Italians are stuck with racist stereotypes that we are all big nosed, hairy, greasy, dirtbags who are all in the mafia.
