Daily reminder talk about students 'going home for Christmas' ignores care experienced and estranged students for whom either university is their 'home' or they don't have a definitive 'home' to go back to. (Thread)
1. I personally fall into the latter camp, where at the same time I have 3 places that I *could* call 'home', but I don't. Because I have my own separate issues with all the places in people that mean I don't prioritise one over the other.
2. Naturally the relationship with my individual parents is different when neither played a particularly big role in raising me. and I have trust issues with both of them (who have let me down in the past multiple times).
3. And while obviously my grandparents house is officially my *home* for SAAS and university administration purposes, I have my own issues with that (particularly my grandmother and her warped body image).
