Just read Alberta’s top doctors are calling for temporary lockdown. I read many of my Twitter friends comments who would agree & many who would disagree. They all have their own opinions & that is fine. My family has followed the rules laid down by the Docs & Gov’t since day 1 
These are my opinions & if you disagree that is fine. That is part of being human. You get to have opinions. It is ok to agree & disagree with one another. It will not make me hate you or ridicule you. I just want to use my own brain & make my own decisions. Not somebody else
As I said my family has been following the rules set down by Doctors & The Gov’t since day 1. My kids are home schooling as well. I have also had to work through this going into work everyday. Not working from home. We have worn masks, social distanced, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc
All of these measures that have been placed according to the experts were supposed to stop or curb this virus. It hasn’t. So why should I believe that another 2 week lockdown will work? It won’t. I feel we will be in the exact spot. Now we hear about a Vaccine that is 90%?
Some vaccines for the simplest viruses have taken 20 years to develop & I am supposed to just listen to people & take this? When was my right as a human being taken away from me to make my own decisions for my own well being & my family’s? I am not COVID-19 denier by any means
I know it exists because I have had friends with it & Families that have been quarantined together where other family members didn’t even get it! I know a kid that are at home right now because they sat next to a kid on a bus that had it. He’s 14 days & the + case is 10 days.
That doesn’t even make sense to me. This is my whole point on this rant. There are stats that show this virus in line with Flu numbers. In fact I haven’t even heard of anyone with a cold or a flu. I usually get a cold by now or a dose of some sickness. Nothing? My guess that
It has to do with me washing my hands, wearing a mask & social distancing. That’s great but how is that on my immune system? I’ve seen classrooms, businesses & sports teams get decimated by a common cold, flu, strep & even Lice. No lockdowns. Why?
To make a long confusing rant short my opinion is this. This virus is here to stay like all the others that we have had. We have to adapt & live with it. Locking us down isn’t good for us or our children’s health wise or mental wise. Will there be a Vaccine? Maybe, maybe not.
I just want to be the one who make the decisions on the well being of my family.
