If there were fraud sufficient to sway this election, the proper way to address that would be to bring that illegality to light, and inspire the people to put pressure on our elected officials to address the wrongdoing.
But that is not the case in this election. Instead, the candidate that lost fair and square is continuously yelling that he lost due to fraud.
He is taking these false allegations to the courts and losing. He is holding ridiculous press conferences at the wrong Four Seasons and being mocked by those of us who see that fiction for what it is.
What Trump and his enablers are accomplishing is getting their base riled up and using their anger to intimidate the press, legislature and the courts to make decisions that are favorable to them. They are using their base to create the impression that something must be done.
Our defense against this is to tell the truth: Joe Biden won the Presidency: that he will be inaugurated as the 46th President of the United States this January.
Use direct language: when people lie, label that lie as such. Use the word “lie.” Push back against those who stop short of saying that, using euphemisms like, “there is no evidence of fraud.”
That leaves open the possibility that some evidence will show up later, allowing the public who believe the falsehoods to continue believing them. This emperor has no clothes. Say it.
Our other defense against this is to make sure that the elected officials who supported this propaganda and attempt to overturn an election are marginalized, to give no credence to what they say about anything.
When given the chance, work to ensure they lose their grip on any reins of power that they currently hold.
Finally support Warnock and Ossoff in their Senate runoff elections in Georgia. Mitch McConnell has disqualified himself from being Senate Majority Leader by telling these lies and furthering the conspiracy to overturn the results of our election
