Everyone will say something problematic out of privilege or ignorance. Darren and Chris arenât being cancelled. I for one still love them dearly ... this is just acknowledging that out of ignorance / privilege that they said something damaging.
They grew up either being wealthy, white, cis, het, etc., and are now extremely wealthy and hold a celebrity status. Obviously theyâre going to be ignorant / uneducated to a lot of issues. Now, this isnât an excuse AT ALL... but this IS why we hold them accountable. We hold them
accountable so they (and others) become AWARE of how what they said was problematic, so they can further educate themselves. So I think Chris has changed from his tweets? Yes. I do. BUT it still would be nice for it to be acknowledged and him to prove âyes, what I said then was
-damaging, but Iâve educated myself now!â Thatâs why this stuff happens. Itâs not a cancel. Itâs making them aware so they can educate themselves and show growth from the situation.
But please donât you dare use this as an excuse to call Chris slurs or make fun of his appearance. If you do, youâre disgusting and homophobic and YOU are the one who deserves to deactivate 
Tacking on - I also want to mention we canât know for sure if they have actually changed unless they do say something. With Chris being my comfort, of course Iâd like to believe that he has changed, and I do feel he has, but Iâm also not foolish. We canât know unless he shows it.

TLDR; they said some fucked up stuff out of blissful ignorance and Iâm glad weâre bringing this up and calling them out. I really hope they see and acknowledge it.
