Taking a look at Reid's first 3 yrs in KC vs Nagy in CHI.
Reid’s 1st yr in KC (2013), the offense was similar to the 2018 Bears. Top 10 in points for, but bottom 11 in Yards. They did a great job of not turning the ball over, and leaned on an opportunistic defense. #DaBears

Reid’s 2nd year in KC (2014), the offense took a step back in yards & Points For, and the defense regressed slightly, with major regression in takeaways. The regression across the board was similar to the 2019 Bears, but KC found a way to score more often.
Reid’s 3rd year in KC (2015), they mirrored 2013. Stagnant in offensive yards. But opportunistic on TOs to win games. Interestingly, KC got off to a 1-5 start in 2015, followed by a 10-game win streak. Through 9 games, they were 4-5. The D forced 13 TO’s over their final 7 games.
Overall in comparison, Reid's teams turned the ball over less than the Bears have, and forced more TOs than the Bears have in yrs 2 & 3.
Total off TDs by yr/tm:
2013 KC: 45

2014 KC: 37
2019 CHI: 28
2015 KC (9G): 21

I think it's fair to question whether Reid would have been on the hot seat in KC after 2015 had it not been for the 10 gm win streak to get them from 1-5 to 11-5. He would have missed the playoffs for the 2nd straight year, and been labeled an offensive guru with a bad offense.
He was able to find something and make a shift, and he followed 2015 up with 4 more playoff appearances, three 12 win seasons, and his first super bowl victory. Pressure is on Nagy now to prove he can make changes like Reid did mid season in 2015 to spark his team.
