A man who drove a van through the streets of Toronto, killing 10 people, goes on trial today.

Please remember that the Canadian media published his manifesto-type rantings. That is not standard practice nor should it be.

@OttawaCitizen did the same after the Wilno femicides.

He is a monster who needs to be held accountable for his actions.

But the Canadian media also needs to be held accountable for the ways they enable, embolden, and frankly, PLATFORM abusive men by constantly giving weight to "their side of the story."

I also want to give a special shout-out to Margaret Wente who argued at the time that since we can't ban entire vehicles, there is nothing we can do about men like this.
