While we all wait for this week's to arrive, please remember a few things and take action now.
1, This is an EP patch .. this means it BIG, HUGE if we're lucky.
2. There are a few issues that crop up with EVERY patch. Fixes are usually easy, so try them before reporting.

About 2:
- I wrote this in 2014. It's still valid: https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2014/09/general-troubleshooting/
- This has been cropping up the past few patches. Repair should work (possibly multiple times): https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-PC/CURRENT-ISSUE-Several-Issues-after-incomplete-Installation/td-p/8422889/

Steps to take for 1 (repost)
- Remove your mods/cc before you play
- Backup your saves (NOW), houses and Sims
- Turn of automatic updates in Origin if you don't want to patch right away.
- There will be new bugs. Lots of them
- Mods/CC will break (most of them)

If you have a bug and want to report this at the bug forum, please be patient for the moment.
I hope to have lots to do with marking posts as fixed and I will do that before taking care of any new threads.
Help by posting as much info as possible and TEST WITH NO MODS!!
