telling us to “just get over it” in response to us being overwhelmed
saying “it’s so easy to be autistic now!”
saying that girls/afab people can’t be autistic or are doing it for attention
american schools, just in general
people using the r slur when they’re not autistic (or have down’s syndrome, cerebral palsy, etc)
making fun of tone indicators
mocking us for not understanding a joke or social cues
getting annoyed when we talk about our special interests
mocking the way we stim
mocking sensory aids (headphones, sunglasses, etc)

also allistics ARE encouraged to rt & spread!!
adding more: using identity first language, unless the autistic person has specifically asked you to. e.g. “person with autism”
