Democrats’ job isn’t to keep tempers down and make sure everyone gets along while the GOP punches democracy in the face. Democrats’ job is to secure their ability to govern and to protect the election system of this country.
Smugly nodding to one another about how Trump is throwing a temper tantrum and we’ll just deal with grown-up issues while he wears himself out is how we got in this mess. At some point, you have to respond, even if it’s just to set a precedent that they don’t have infinite rope.
