A few weeks ago, a group of organized parents responded to our advocacy for education equity and integration with chants of "All Students Matter" and signs that read "Save Our Schools."

The coded racism is not new. THREAD ⬇️
White New York City parents led some of the earliest anti-integration protests. Their language differed from southern segregationists, but their goals were the same.
Sadly, that tradition continues today.
Their tactics are predictable and resemble what we see in right-wing politics.
While we continue to call out racist rhetoric, we are very clear that @NYCMayor and @DOEChancellor are ultimately responsible for the racist policies in our schools.
