How to even start making sense of this? The weirdest scheme proposed by the FReSH/WBCSD food multinationals

"World" should eat less salt, but single continents can also have more?😬 And that's a lot #nuts btw! (up to 2400% increase for Latin America -😅)

From the same document, a case study: Kellogg's fake meat burger. Claiming that plant-based is "better for people and planet" and that the main barrier is prejudice because people think it "will not taste as good" ???
Nah, reason why most don't want this stuff is probably because the ingredients look like this. I don't see a lot of "plants" here that could be "good for people & planet"? Any plants at all? Only extracts & additives.

And I doubt that this is a good basis for tasting like beef.
But "plant-based" is of course a cosmetic terminology.

The explicit advice to their members is to use "more appealing language, like #fieldgrown or #heritage to describe vegetable options, instead of terms like #meatfree, #vegetarian or #vegan👇
This is the bit the #GreatReset guys LOVE:

Social engineering, block chain, apps, & big data.

Also: use "religious/spiritual leaders"?? 🤪
These are the 2021 events where the corporate agenda will be pushed (hard): UN #UNFoodSystemsSummit, Convention on Biological Diversity (with a key role for #WWF), IUCN and N4G summits, UNFCCC/COP.

Don't say you haven't been warned! More about it here: https://twitter.com/fleroy1974/status/1320349528248225793?s=20
So who made the report?

#WBCSD: "global CEO-led organization of >200 leading businesses working together to accelerate the transition to a sustainable world..representing a combined revenue of >$8.5 trillion"
#FReSH (= WBCSD partnership with #EATLancet)👇

What happens next? Benchmarking.

Enters the #WorldBenchmarkingAlliance: "assessing 2,000 of the world’s most influential companies, ranking & measuring them on their contributions to the #SDGs"

https://www.worldbenchmarkingalliance.org/mission/
Join the #greenwashing? Become a "keystone company" & get rewards!🍬🍭

#Refuse to play the game according to their rules? DOOM! The WBA will "create #accountability for those who don’t change" - in other words, prepare to be stigmatized & vilified 👻☠️
If you want to be one of the lucky 'keystone companies', better be sympathetic to the #GreatFoodTransformation towards the #PlanetaryHealthDiet (but if you're already a member of the World Business Council of Sustainable Development, don't worry too much)

https://www.worldbenchmarkingalliance.org/ambassadors/
And when the food system will undergo its ' #reset' (sounds familiar? 😱) you'd better be on the World Economic Forum's list of favourites (or you may well get erased...?)
The "Reset" event is co-hosted by BCFN. Now that's interesting.... Let's see how the benchmarking 'game' can be played at Champions League level.

(On the right, the founder of EAT making it clear that she's already happy to have them on board).
Rewind to #Davos (World Economic Forum - yes indeed) 2018: Barilla's BCFN already figuring out with EAT *how* to " #track food system transformation & #assess progress"

There you have it: the job which is now done by the World Benchmarking Alliance (of which Barilla is member).
Barilla sure knows how to play the "value" & "lifestyle" game to perfection since decades.

From: "Marketing Modernity: Italian Advertising from Fascism to Postmodernity"
Interesting side fact: the company is not only close to EAT as such but also an organizational member of the THI. On the board of THI we find Willett (Harvard), the designer of... the #EATLancet diet.
Which is neat because Barilla also likes to design dietary models - its own "double food pyramid" matches EAT closely: grains YES! - animal foods, mmm? - red meat NO!
Let's have a closer look at it. From a scientific study. No conflicts of interest. Because this is coming from an "independent think tank working for food sustainability". The Barilla Center for Food & Nutrition. 🤔
Published in 2015. Interesting year for an independent think tank. And an expensive one it seems, looking at its declared lobby costs. https://lobbyfacts.eu/representative/6b0aa76631734b57babaa2d424a25be3/%0Bbarilla-center-for-food-nutrition-foundation
And an interesting Board of Directors for an "independent think tank" by the way.
But they're producing "what's good for you" so it surely must also be "good for the planet"... #SDGs guaranteed?

Can't wait to see the Benchmarking results 🤗
