1/ If I'm able to reduce a thesis to one short sentence, I find I have more conviction in the stock:

$GOOG $FB - Shift to digital ads
$V $MA - War on cash
$NFLX - Shift to streaming
$AMZN $SHOP $SE $MELI - Shift to ecommerce
$AMZN $MSFT - Shift to cloud
$DOCU - Paperless
2/ Having a single, short sentence thesis can help unclutter the mind when there is no shortage of data or opinions about a stock (especially on Twitter). When you get confused, having that short thesis will help you zoom out and see the bigger picture when you most need it.
3/ Also, while this has not been proven or back-tested, anecdotally I feel that the simpler and more obvious the idea is, the better stock will perform.

Lately, I've been thinking about this as a mental filter: Can I reduce the thesis into a 5-word sentence?
