I think the two people who destroyed the country between them are Boris Johnson and Jeremy Corbyn
Corbyn sabotaged the referendum for Labour, and Johnson did the same for the Tories.
Corbyn for blind ideology, and Johnson for vanity.
And once those two characters persuaded the country to vote for Brexit the only choices you had were total Brexit - as we've got now, or no Brexit at all.
And the reason it was all or nothing is that any compromise, any half measures, and pretendy Brexit was always going to enrage the Brexiteers.
It was obvious to a goldfish that Theresa May's pretend Brexit was never going to get through the lunatics in her own party.
And when Theresa May's pretend Brexit failed - which it was always bound to, Johnson was always going to fight for the leadership on a manifesto of total Brexit.
And it was equally obvious - I spent months telling everyone it was going to happen like this - that he was going to call a general election
This is the bit I got wrong. I knew Labour would lose, but I thought the Lib Dems might pick up seats, but I underestimated how toxic Corbyn was.
And once Johnson won his election on a mandate for a total Brexit, that's what he must pursue, having the mandate for it.
I've been warning everyone for years that Brexit would destroy the country. But instead of confronting that fact they've been wasting their time looking for genteel form of Brexit.
The two choices facing the country are, and have been for the last four years, either a total Brexit or none at all.

And Brexit will destroy the country
I spent four years explaining all this. All the years of Theresa May, I told you she was leading you down a blind alley. I told you and told you and told you.
I tried everything. I told you where Brexit would end up. I showed you the logic day after day.
There's nothing for it now but to live through it
