As a 20 something healthy person who can run half marathons on little training / exercises regularly covid made me feel like I was breathing through a paper bag whilst someone was sat on my chest. I struggled climbing the stairs without feeling like I needed to sit down.
The thought of how this would affect my 89 year old grandmother with no other health issues terrifies me. How people can be so heartless to say they don’t care cos they would be ok, why should my Nan not survive an extra few years to see me get married, possibly see my children?
I have experience of working with the distribution of vaccines to all of the schools in Caerphilly. Vaccines go through rigorous testing - this vaccine is only being produced quickly because their primary focus is on COVID whereas there isn’t usually a time pressure on ensuring..
Producing a vaccine as we aren’t usually in a global pandemic. Just because it has been produced ‘quickly’ that doesn’t mean it hasn’t gone through the correct measures to be deemed safe for use.
Simply put if you don’t know enough about a situation please refrain from commenting on it at all. Social media already does enough to spread incorrect information and mislead people without more people adding fuel to the fire
