Today we following former Executive Chairman of #DimensionData Andile Ngcaba Court case. He is taking his former employer to court as he believes white executives were being paid far more than him. Dimension Data in court papers says this isn’t true. Ngcaba says he has proof.
Ngcaba says there was an amendment to the Companies Act that required companies to disclose remuneration for executives. He says this is when it came to light that he was being paid far less than white executives. #DimensionData
#DimensionData has denied paying white executives more than Andile Ngcaba. The IT company says the export report provided by Ngcaba was late and he refused to furnish proper responses to several questions. The company says it denies all allegations.

SC Dali Mpofu who is representing #AndileNgcaba says the basis of #DimensionData asking for a postponement doesn’t stand. This case has been going on for 3 years or so.
SC Mpofu says the request from #DimensionData is a delaying tactic. The giant tech company says the expert reports submitted by #AndileNgcaba are too complex and they need time to study and respond accordingly. Mpofu says this isn’t a good enough reason to want a postponement.
SC Mpofu tells Judge Van Oosten that this has nothing to do with a clause in a contract it’s got to do with the injustices black people face with regards to remuneration. He says the Judge mustn’t let anyone else tell him otherwise. #DimensionData #AndileNgcaba
SC Mpofu says #DimensionData saying that #AndileNgcaba was paid R500 million over 12 years is misleading. He says the money went to the BEE consortium not only to him personally. Mpofu says #DimensionData has lied continuously.
Judgment has been postponed. This is postponement of the hearing about the merits or actual arguments in the case. #DimensionData is not ready to argue the case. It wants more time to read reports that been introduced as evidence. Judge says decision will be made this week.
