1. There is no where in scripture that God demands that those in authority must be aligned with our own faith and "on the side of God" for Him to fulfil his will through us. Herod was a hostile king when Jesus was born yet God went ahead. Jesus ministered successfully in his era.
2. Jesus did not demand the king align his faith with his. The early Church ministered, grew & multiplied in many cases through the hostility of authority just as the Jews multiplied when oppressed in Egypt. What we are asked to do is to pray for those in authority regardless.
Gos id big, wise and powerful enough to handle his business regardless of who holds political power. Even the "negative" push back against his people always ends up fulfilling the prophetic scriptures once the Church is praying.
