From April 2017 to March of 2020, I was depressed.
>Lost all my friendships. >Relationships failed.
>Became a total sad case.
>Negative feedback loops everyday. >Absolutely hated myself.
>Was addicted to porn.
>No faith in God.
Then one day, this book came in the mail. It was un-solicited and was addressed to my mom. I handed it to her and she said, “No. You need to read it.”

So I did.

And slowly but surely my faith started to grow. My outlook on life started to shift into a much more positive light
I started to listen to Christian music, synth wave and the northern spirit playlist on Spotify.

I felt energized. My faith was booming, I was truly feeling the love of God and seeing the light in the world and looking at the world as something to behold, like a child.
The Northern Spirit playlist and that primal style music really brought out a primal energy and mindset within me, making me feel more connected to who I am supposed to be as a man.
Long story short, don’t give up. While everything around you looks like darkness and there is no way out, I promise there is. But the only thing to pull you from the darkness is yourself. Nobody else will. Not a pill. Not a girl. Not a job. You.
You must take responsibility. You must walk away from the darkness and chase the light and never look back.
It will get better. You will make it.

Jesus loves you.
People in your life love you and care about you, but you’re too blinded by the darkness to see it.
To end the thread:

In Jordan Peterson’s “12 rules for life,” One of his rules is: “Treat yourself like someone you are responsible for helping.”

I think about this rule all the time.

Read or listen to the audiobook if you’re in a dark place. It will help.
Create or rebuild your relationship with Jesus.

Thanks for reading. Hope it’s not too chaotic. Just know you are not alone. 🤙🏻
